Welcome to EcoReports
EcoReports is an environmental information exchange where
businesses and organisations can inform the public about how their activities
affect climate change and the broader environment, and what they are doing to
improve performance. Members of the public can use EcoReports to:
-
review the steps featured companies and organisations are taking to protect the
environment;
-
nominate others currently not featured to obtain an EcoReports listing;
-
and submit requests for environmental information from public bodies and
private companies acting on their behalf.
EcoReports for Companies & Organisations
From 1st January 2005 many public organisations and private
companies carrying out public functions are required to make available
information about their environmental impacts and the steps being taken to
reduce them. Beyond legal obligations, many businesses are recognising the
substantial benefits available to them from publishing environmental
information. EcoReports provides an opportunity to publicise your relationship
with the environment to a wide range of people using EcoReports' unique set of
environmental reporting tools or by simply attaching an existing report.

EcoReports for Communities
You may have a message which you want to share with partners,
stakeholders and members of your business community. By establishing an
EcoReports Community you can portray that message clearly and provide a
platform for environmental activity in your sector. Community members can
benefit from guidance relating to sector requirements, best practice, law and
regulation and an opportunity to compare performance.
EcoReports Communities should appeal to trade associations, professional bodies
and companies interested in gaining better performance from supply chains and spreading their message more effectively.
EcoReports for YOU!
EcoReports allows you to select companies and organisations
where you have a continuing interest in receiving information about their
environmental performance. You simply register your interest and each time that
company or organisation updates its information displayed on EcoReports you
will automatically receive a message directing you to the new information. If a
business or organisation you are interested in is not currently featured on
EcoReports we will contact them on your behalf and either publish the
information provided or their response. Click
here to nominate.
You can also use EcoReports to make and manage environmental information requests to companies affected by the Environmental Information Regulations 2004. Click here to make a new EIR request.
